Donut Bar
If you’re a San Diego local and you’ve never been to Donut Bar, chances are… you’re not living your best life! 😉 I mean, where else can you get some of the best donuts in town and a local craft brew? Not to mention, their donuts are larger than normal-size and they have the cutest shop ever. We suggest you choose your timing wisely though, because lines can be extremely long and their hours are only open until they’re sold out!

VG Donuts
VG or “very good” has been a tradition and Cardiff landmark for over half a century, feeding sweet-tooth San Diegans since 1969. They make their donuts twice a day, 4am and 4pm, and the line out the door would argue that they are definitely worth waiting for. Don’t get discouraged though, the line to your favorite frosted dough generally moves pretty fast.
VG’s is most known for their legendary Blueberry Buttermilk Bar and their Glazed Cinnamon Bun. Try them both out and let us know which is your favorite!

Peterson’s Donut Corner
Donuts galore! Peterson’s is the quintessential “hole in the wall” donut shop, no frills, just frosting! They are best known for their massively oversized donuts so bring your appetite or a friend to share your sweet treat with. Word on the streets is that their version of a “cronut,” a croissant-donut pastry is the best you can find in town!
It is worthy of noting, although they might be big in size, they are extremely affordable.

Rose Donuts
Open 24 hours a day, Rose Donuts is known for their fresh, soft, spongy donuts at all times of the day and night. Down the street from the USD campus where Nadia and Anne attended college, they had a reputation at Rose Donuts for grabbing yummy morning treats and snacks around the clock. The good old fashioned glazed donuts are the best and neither Nadia or Anne can resist them!
